Through the midst of turmoil caused by Hurricane Harvey, there are many valuable lessons we all can take away from this disaster. No matter our color or religion, age or political views, coming together for the higher good is the most important thing we can do. Not only during a disaster, but every day. When tragedy strikes, we don’t care what color the next person is, we care about remaining safe and overcoming our circumstances together. We need to keep that mentality everyday. After seeing this nation pull together for those affected by Hurricane Harvey I have no doubt that this catastrophe will only make us stronger as a nation.
