After a night of three season ending and one day-to-day injuries: Brandon Marshall , Odell Beckham Jr., Dwayne Harris , and Sterling Sheppard, the New York Giants could use some peace of mind. Today showed that peace is one thing the organization will not get, any time soon.
Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017, Sterling Shepard, Landon Collins, Olivier Vernon, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Jonathan Casillas, Weston Richburg and Paul Perkins did not participate in the team’s practice.
Adding the players that are injured to the list, makes 11 players that were off of the field earlier today. What the hell is going on?
“It’s no big deal. The team has bench players that are up for the challenge,” you may say, but the issue comes in when a player, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, unexpectedly gets suspended from the team.
The corner back was benched in Sunday’s game against the L.A. Chargers after head coach, Ben McAdoo, noticed he was trying to play through pains. Instead of sit sideline and root on his fellow Giants, Dominique threw his helmet, and let his coach feel his wrath.
Although, McAdoo did not speak on or confirm the events adding up to Dominique leaving practice today, he spoke on the action of suspending him and many more issues the team is facing during his press conference. One thing I respect the coach for is keeping the reporters’ questions strictly, professionally, about football.
What do you think is going to happen with the team’s roster? Do you feel they can bounce back from 0 – 5? Leave your answers to these questions, and any other comments, below in the comment section. Also, send a prayer out for all of the injured players.
