2 Chainz Calls Out Walmart for Selling Copies Of His Infamous Dabbing Santa Sweater

In 2015, rapper 2Chainz released a “Dabbing Santa” Christmas sweater that sold out almost immediately. Every year since, the sweater has been a must-have item around the holiday season. Apparently Wal-Mart noticed the sweaters success so much that they decided to sell it online too! 2Chainz wasn’t very fond of Wal-Mart stealing his genius idea and so he called them out via Instagram saying:

“Oooh nooo someone please tell Walmart that they didn’t get permission to use this patent or likeness in anyway. We use this sweater this time of year to spread togetherness and also give back to those who are less fortunate or not able to provide for their families at the time 🙏🏿…That being said it’s gone be a Jolly Holly Xmas #WALMARTGONEBUYMEAHOUSE#WALMARTGONEBUYMEACAR#Walmartgonegiveback2mycommunity#WALMARTGONEMAKEMEASTAR. 😆🤣gotta lil ring to it mite lay dat bihhh down later tonight when I get to the studio!”

Wal-Mart responded by saying:

“These items were posted by third party sellers in our online marketplace. We have zero tolerance for intellectual property infringement and we’ve blocked these sellers from listing the items until we investigate further.”
